The data shows that about 60% of the energy generated by fuel combustion is converted into kinetic energy, but about 30% of it is consumed in various friction pairs in vain. How to reduce these "useless" and costly friction losses? Mechanism of organic molybdenum

The mechanism of lubrication and friction reduction of organic molybdenum is mainly related to the polished surface of the friction pair. On the surface of the friction pair, at the points of high load pressure, a chemical reaction occurs at the tip of the friction pair, which promotes the decomposition of organic molybdenum, decomposing molybdenum disulfide, and certain Phosphides, sulfides, nitrides, etc. These products are dispersed in the oil solvent, adsorbed and deposited on the friction surface, molybdenum disulfide forms a film covering the anti-wear layer, so as to achieve the effect of antifriction, anti-wear and lubrication.

Nitrogen-containing modified organic molybdenum is dissolved in the lubricant in a liquid form and forms a physical and chemical reaction film on the friction surface to reduce friction and wear while the lubricating parts are in a mild working condition. Under severe working conditions such as high speed, high temperature, and high pressure, organic molybdenum decomposes into a nanoscale molybdenum disulfide chemical reaction film, which is stacked on the metal surface in a layered microcrystalline structure. The thickness of each layer is 0.625nm, and the distance between layers is 1.32nm. This nano-scale chemical reaction film changes the movement of the metal friction surface from sliding friction to rolling friction, greatly reducing the friction coefficient, multiplying the extreme pressure performance, and has a long-term sustained effect.

Molybdenum (MoDTC) has excellent antifriction and antiwear properties, good thermal stability, high decomposition temperature, and good oxidation resistance. MoDTC and other additives such as antioxidants can also produce a certain synergistic effect, slowing down the process of oxidation-induced degradation of friction. The friction decomposition products of this organic molybdenum are mainly molybdenum disulfide. The layered structure of molybdenum disulfide is connected by van der Waals force, and the shear stress is small. Therefore, the organic molybdenum can greatly reduce the friction coefficient and reduce The role of the motorcycle. At the same time, MoDTC is less corrosive to copper (but still has some corrosion).
